Golf Fitting

A golf club fitting can fit to the swing or fit for swing improvement. Most club fitters choose to fit the swing in the interest of selling clubs. We offer a choice. We believe golf club fitting should aim to stabilize and improve your swing. The weight, length, lie angle, balance, shaft and head style of your golf clubs are going to shape your swing. Game improvement requires proper equipment, fitness and form.

A Golf Club Fitting at Fit2Score explores your relationship with your golf clubs. We look at where we can improve your game through equipment. Game improvement may require new golf clubs. We advise you on your best option – new clubs, adjustments to your clubs or swing coaching. We do not always encouraged the purchase of new golf clubs. The degree to which we offer swing coaching is based on the golf swing skill we observe. We provide an analysis of how your clubs match your swing, charging a fee for it. We often offer coaching and fitness recommendations in addition to club recommendations.

Our fitting system has an extensive selection of shafts, far beyond what is available in most fitting carts. All of the bend profile options in the full range of weights and stiffness are available for your fitting experience. As the publisher of GOLF SHAFT REVIEWS we have a unique understanding of all of the latest shaft designs, their evolution and the shaft designs that have, over many years, become the legacy standards. You will have a truly unique club fitting experience.

Golf Swing from four perspectives

Golf Driver Fitting

Your driver is a unique club that you swing differently from all the other clubs in your bag. The ball is teed up, angle of attack will add or remove loft. During the fitting we look at loft and angle of attack to find the right combination of ball launch angle and spin to maximize distance and accuracy. Very small changes to head weight and center of gravity affect the delivery of the driver head to the ball. Our driver fitting system shafts are selected to offer a wide range of shaft profiles, weights and stiffness options for all golfers’…

Golf Fairway Fitting

Golf fairway fitting is essential for game improvement. The fairway shaft is long and the ball must be swept off the ground. The distance the golf ball travels amplifies small errors. Inexpensive stock fairway shafts found in most off the rack fairways make this difficult. Professional golfers use premium driver shafts in their fairways. They fit the hardest club in the bag to hit with the same quality shafts they use in their drivers. It is little wonder that the typical fairway I see, which was purchased for less than the cost of a decent shaft, delivers inconsistent results. For…

Golf Hybrid Fitting

Hybrid Fitting is part of your golf bag setup. As clubs get longer, the swing plane gets flatter. This results in strike errors that are increasingly horizontal. The face design of hybrids are radiused like drivers and fairways and impart a corrective gear effect spin to heel and toe strikes. In addition, the low, rearward positioning of the center of gravity adds stability to the head and launch trajectory to the ball. The current generation of variable face thickness hybrids add ball speed across the face for more consistent distance on off-center impacts. We fit for consistent gaps on the…

Golf Iron Fitting

Iron fittings start with a discussion of objectives. Fit the swing or fit to fix the swing? Club Weight, Club Length, Grip Style and Size, Head Design, Lie, Loft Gaps – all must fit your swing, strength, fitness and your objectives for your game. The grip size and club length are adjusted during the fitting to fit you. Once your clubs are delivered, you can book another session for distance and gap analysis. Our fitting systems include the factory carts from most of the major brands. We fit with an extensive selection of shafts. The shafts we work with have…

Golf Wedge Fitting

Most Golfers focus on driver fitting and overlook wedge fitting. Like irons, there is a large range of wedge shafts. Our wedge fitting system gives you the opportunity to try the multitude of wedge shafts not available in off the rack wedges. Wedge lofts, available from Mizuno in 1 degree increments give the control over you distances on you scoring shots. As loft increases, having the proper lie angle is increasingly critical. Using the right lofts will give you consistent distance gaps. We adjust your wedge lofts to fine tune your wedge distances. Custom grinds, once available only to golf…

Golf Putter Fitting

Having the correct length and lie guides you into a comfortable putting stance and posture.  Properly fit, your putter consistently sets you up, complements your style of putting and helps you aim. The putter lie is adjusted to place the putter head flat on the ground. When the putter toe is tilted up or down, the loft of the putter misdirects the putt. The greater the length of the putt, the more critical it is that your putter lie is correctly fit. You take more strokes with your putter than any other club in your bag. Consistency comes from practice…

Jon Rahm Driver Shaft

Aldila Tour Green Driver Shaft The Aldila Tour Green driver shaft design is what I refer to as a archetype EI profile design. I first reviewed the Aldila Tour Green in 2014 at GolfShaftReviews. An archetype design is one that is so successful and popular that it is copied and produced by many golf shaft manufacturers. When a design wins on the tours year after year it gets copied. The Aldila Tour Green is one such design. New materials get placed into updated designs from the original manufacture but the EI profile remains. Aldila NV ’23 Series I have not…
